Most lost balls land within 20 yards of the fairway edge. Walk the rough parallel to your shot line.

Use the sun angle

Stand with the sun behind you — the glare off a ball's surface is your best visual cue in thick grass.

Mark your line

Before leaving the tee, pick a landmark directly in line with your shot to keep your search corridor accurate.
